Dwight A Peebles, II - CEO
Dwight A. Peebles II is the CEO for Sports and Spine Institute. Dwight’s years of commitment to the healthcare industry has given him a diverse set of skills that includes lifecycle development, financial readiness, community outreach for clinical development, development of product value proposition, marketing planning, business development support and evaluation of resources. His therapeutic areas of expertise include neurology, orthopedic, pain management, gastroenterology, and urology. Most recently, his career has been focused on pain management and orthopedic care. Previously, Dwight was Chief Operating Officer for AttainMed, one of the top DME companies in the southeast. He also has held multiple pharmaceutical marketing and sales management positions with Johnson and Johnson, Pharmacia (Pfizer), Astra Zeneca throughout the southeast. Dwight has his B.S. in International Business with a minor in Economics from Hampton University. He currently resides in south Atlanta with his beautiful wife and best friend Tiffany and their three amazing children. He is blessed beyond belief with his family and gives back to the community in his time off by coaching tennis, baseball and mentoring adolescent youths in his area. He enjoys horseback riding and sports of any kind.
Amrish Patel, M.D. - Medical Director
Dr. Patel is an Interventional Physiatrist with particular interests in orthopaedic spine and sports medicine. He specializes in acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders, electro-diagnostic evaluation, and interventional spinal injections. Dr. Patel enjoys participating in and watching a variety of sports, reading, and listening to music.
An Augusta native, Dr. Patel completed his undergraduate degree in Pre-Medicine and Pre-Physical Therapy at the University of Georgia in Athens. He attended Georgia State University receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Therapy and worked several years as a Physical Therapist in Atlanta Georgia. He received his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University. Dr. Patel completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Newark, New Jersey while serving as Administrative Chief Resident for 2010 – 2011.
Dr. Patel received a Fellowship appointment in Spine & Sports from the University of Pittsburg Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and his professional interests include evaluation and treatment of all non-operative sports and spine conditions.
